We have been living in Shanghai for four years, and I came as the 'trailing spouse'. We have two small children, and with the help that is readily available in China, it seemed an excellent time to return to study and change my career after 13 years in Banking and Finance.
My husband is also a teacher, and works in an international school. The expat life agrees with us. So primary teaching for me seemed like the appropriate avenue for a new career, with the dream of being an employable 'teaching couple', preferably at an international school on a tropical island.
